April 27

We have to leave the house in an hour if we are going to make the bus to the city. That doesn't give me nearly enough time to do everything I wanted to. I wanted to be able to write up a new stoy on Charlie, but now I might have to do that on the train.

In fact, there is so little time that I haven't even turned on my notoriously tempermental laptop. I'm blogging from the main computer instead.

My little brother got a whiteboard today. Itt should be easier for him to do Maths now, because he can work it all out on a white board instead of on paper. Sometimes paper just isn't big enough. It's so much more fun to scribble wildly, as big as you need, without having to continue equations over the page. Sometimes I have to take up three pages of my maths book with one equation! My writings are pretty well spaced.

My sister is playing the keyboard. Fortunately, she's stopped with the Christmas Carols. I am so glad of that. She hasn't done any for a while. However, she does play 'Can you feel the love tonight', which always sounds so sad. She doesn't agree with me and my older brother. She tells us that it is a happy song, all about true love. I don't care if it has true love in it, that doesn't change that it is a sad song. The music is sad, and some of the lyris are sad too.

It is really cold today. It's really starting to feel like winter. That's not really a bad thing, because my birthday is in winter. Somehow, my birthday feels like it is just around the corner, even though it is over a month away. I couldn't possibly start counting down until May.

February 1

I just wrote January out of habit, but it is actually February. Hard to believe at the moment that it's only the second month of the year. It seems that Christmas most be at least 5 months ago, not 1 and a bit.

My little brother spent the last of his money on ordering us lunch today. Courtesy of him, we had delicious pizza and sides for lunch. Very generous of him to spend the last of his money on our lunch.

At the moment, my little brother is playing a physics game on the computer, Fantastic Contraption 2. It's really fun in the first edition, and though I've never played number 2, it looks like fun. My older brother is giving him advice while also working at his own computer. I can't say for sure where the majority of his attention is.

My sister is at the keyboard, playing Jingle Bells. Any sane person would know that February is waaaaaay too late to be playing Christmas carols.

My sister is jokingly considering keeping a bar of soap in her bag at all times, as an air freshener. I don't really know why, as her bag isn't really used much, and it never smells bad. I think she just likes the smell of the soap. She wants to engrave her initials into one of the bars. She actually did! She just showed it to me, and it actually has her initials on it!

December 24/ Christmas Eve!

My younger brother and sister are already heading to our grandpa's place, and my mother, older brother and I are here at home, and will be leaving after feeding the piggies. Just 1 more sleep til Christmas! I'm too excited and impatient to write much. Merry Christmas, and A Happy New Year!

December 23

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. AAAAAH! I don't want it to come that fast, and yet, I do. I want to open all the presents under the tree, and watch everyone else open theirs. So I guess, I do want Christmas to come. It's just that it's coming faster than I thought.

My mother, sister and I had a girls afternoon yesterday. They painted their nails, and then we put on crazy makeup. My sister and I had never pained our nails before, and I still haven't. My sister looks unusual with bright pink nails, especially when playing the keyboard.

My older brother just accidentally whacked my younger brother in the eye, so he may have a black eye for Christmas! Hopefully not.

My brothers and sister are washing our guinea pigs. We have quite a few. I'm pretty sure we have 10. They get kind of dirty in the rain, and it was raining last night when we were looking at Christmas lights. They need washing, and their houses need cleaning and re-haying.

I have beaten my sister, at least temporarily, in the token competition I wrote about yesterday, . I have 45 hours, 50 minutes worth of reading, and 2 reviews, bringing me up to 11 tokens. My sister has 43 hours, 20 minutes worth of reading, and 1 review, so she only has 9 tokens. My older brother has 2 tokens, for 11 hours, 30 minutes worth of reading, and my little brother hasn't read at all, so he has no tokens. We are getting the tokens so that we can win an I-Pad, except my little brother is in the running for an iPod touch, being younger. The more we read and review, the more tokens we get, the more chances to win an iPad!

I may not be able to blog tomorrow, as my siblings are leaving at 10, and my mother and I are leaving at 3 to go to our grandpa's place for Christmas. If I can write tomorrow, it'll be the last post of the year. If I can't,  this is.

So, I wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

December 22

Last night was totally AWESOME! We had an 80s themed sleepover. I didn't have any 80s clothes, but the other girls did, and they looked so funny! Bright colours, leggings, vests, and big hooped earrings. We actually went out to Dominos to get pizza, even looking that weird. After pizza we watched movies, put on crazy make up, and stayed up till 3 in the morning, something I've never done before. Such a great night!

My sister and I are holding a sort of competition of who can score the highest amount of tokens for our library reading contest. In our age group, you get 1 token per five hours of reading, and 1 token for a book review. I have 10 tokens. She has 9. My brothers aren't even close. They haven't read much, and don't do reviews.

Do you know anyone that you think is really cool, or does something really well, or really important, but they don't think much of it? What means a lot to one person can be insignificant to someone else. In a movie we're watching, a girl sends cards to soldiers for Christmas. She doesn't think much of it, but the soldiers sure do. I know someone who I think is fantastically fast, but they don't think so. Opinions often differ. I think it's much easier to think well of someone else than yourself.

21 December

Tonight I go on a sleepover with some of the girls in my youth group. I'm really excited! I've never actually been on a sleepover before, excepting sleeping over with family, and that doesn't really count.

Christmas is getting closer, and my little brother is obstinate when it comes to deciding a Christmas Eve movie. He doesn't like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and in my opinion, is scared of it. He doesn't relly like the other movies either. I don't really know what he wants to watch.

My sister is on the keyboard, practicing again. By New Year, we should all know those songs by heart. I already know most of them.

My little brother is outside again. I don't know what he's doing, and it's generally best not to ask. Sometimes he gets me to join in, like being a general, or him telling me to get off his property.

Every Christmas, our family puts wishes on the Christmas tree. We have Christmas wishes for almost everyone since 2000. It's really fun to read all the old wishes. Some of them, from when we were little, are really funny! Every year they have a different design. This year is a manger.

To finish up, one word. This word is a great point of summer in Australia. MANGOES!!

December 20

My older brother and I just finished putting up Christmas lights inside, and it's hard! I don't usually stand on chairs, especially not ones that move! It's scary when it starts moving under you.

There is an rather large amount of presents under our Christmas tree. I believe it was 22 at last count, and more are yet to be added. Well, with a big family, lots of Christmas presents are the inevitable result. I have 2 of the biggest, and I think one of them is actually a small thing in a big box, but I have zip idea of what the other one is. It's lumpy, so it might be clothes.

Our house looks like Christmas time. Lights up inside and out, a Christmas tree with lots of presents, songs playing most of the time, if not on YouTube, on the keyboard. What about you, what do you do for Christmas? Do you even celebrate it?

My loopy little brother told us this morning that he would finish his breakfast before any of us. My sister beat him out, even though he had started his breakfast first! He takes a long time to eat. Sometimes, we've finished dessert while he's still eating mains!

Does anyone else have a reading program at their library? Our library has an online program this year, and I signed up. One of the prizes is an I-pad. That would be cool!

I think my favorite Christmas song this year is His Favorite Christmas Story. It has a beautiful story to it.

Well, Merry Christmas!!!
