February 28

My sister is on the keyboard. She seems to be humming something under her breath, but I'm not sure. It might just be the rhythm to the song she's playing.

Why are so many books written by Americans? My little brother asked for peanut butter and jelly today. He didn't say jam, he said jelly! Jelly is wobbly, meant as a dessert. That's what jelly means to me. Jam goes with peanut butter. Jelly and peanut butter would taste gross!

Is it weird to like to go back and look at all the things I've written? I keep a diary, and sometimes I like to go back and read it, to see what I was thinking about years ago. A lot of it doesn't seem that long ago. It just seems to be a matter of months, maybe even weeks, not years.

Tomorrow is February 29. We won't get another one for four years, so enjoy it while you can, especially if it's your birthday!

  1. I don't think it's weird to go back & read what you write. I used to keep a steady diary as well and I looked back on stuff I wrote all the time. It's amazing to see the similarities and the differences as well. So weird how we change...

  2. That makes me feel a bit less weird. In my family, only my sister, my older brother and myself keep diaries, and I'm the only one who rereads mine. I love looking back and seeing all the differences, from my handwriting to what I wrote about.
